Global academic presence

Dr. Wu’s Head Massage Therapy (WHM) is a specialized system focusing on the head, face, neck, and ear regions. Developed by Professor Binjiang Wu, it was first introduced globally in 1993 through an academic conference. Over the past 30 years, WHM has evolved from a local practice into an internationally recognized therapeutic method. It has been published in seven languages, reaching diverse audiences. This comprehensive system bridge the gap between ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and modern therapeutic rigor, ensuring a standardized and effective approach to holistic wellness that is respected by clinicians and academics worldwide.

From Folk Practice to Academic Education

What began as a folk remedy passed down through local communities, WHM has been refined through decades of clinical practice and academic rigor. Professor Wu developed a standardized system of 60 techniques, combining tradition with modern methodology. Today, WHM is part of professional TCM education at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has been recognized since 2003 as a continuing education course for Registered Massage Therapists. This journey marks the transition from local practice to internationally respected academic curriculum.
